Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani has talked up a move for Edinson Cavani after revealing he tried to sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic in January.
The Whites are celebrating promotion to the Premier League and will no doubt look to strengthen in the summer transfer market.
Whilst not many would have had names like Ibrahimovic and Cavani on Leeds' shopping list, Radrizzani has not ruled out deals for the two of them.
Ibrahimovic looks set to leave AC Milan this summer after just six months back at the Serie A side and, whilst Radrizzani admits a potential deal for the Swedish superstar would be difficult, he revealed that the Whites made an approach for the 38-year-old when they were looking for a striker in January.
"Ibrahimovic will certainly be difficult," he told Sky Sports Italy.
"We tried to sign him in January, but he chose to join Milan and the deal vanished.
"Now I think it's too late, the intensity of English football is different."
Radrizzani is more optimistic over a potential deal for Ibrahimovic's former PSG teammate Cavani.
The Uruguayan attacker will leave the French capital this summer after seven years at the club and he has been linked with a free transfer to numerous sides.
Any potential move to Leeds appears to be in its early stages, with Radrizzani admitting he had not even spoken to Marcelo Bielsa about a potential deal.
Yet the Italian did not rule a move for the 33-year-old out.
"In addition to his quality, Cavani could contribute with his physicality and adapt here, but I've never talked about him with the coach," Radrizzani said.
"Having said that, we've certainly thought about him and we'll see, given he's still available on a free transfer."
