Andrea Radrizzani says Leeds United have another £35m to £50m to spend on two or three players this transfer window.
In an interview with the Financial Times, Radrizzani outlined the current financial state of Leeds.
That includes how much money the Whites intend to spend on players this summer having already signed Rodrigo and Robin Koch.
Despite Radrizzani admitting the Whites have taken a revenue hit of between £30m and £40m due to playing matches behind closed doors, he has big plans for the future.
"The target in five years is to be behind the Big Six," he said.
"If we get there in terms of sports results and we have a very solid business . . . then we can be worth in the region of £600m-£1bn."
It has been well publicised in the past that Radrizzani is open to outside investment coming into the Whites.
That includes both Qatar Sports Investments and owners of the NFL team San Francisco 49ers.
Radrizzani confirmed both parties' interest in the Whites but said, for him, a shared vision and goal is more important than how much money they invest.
He said: "The 49ers are interested, Qatar is interested, there are other parties interested
"It’s more important to have a shared vision and strategy, that they are comfortable with what I want to build and achieve."
Talking about the Whites' first season back in the Premier League, the Italian said the goal is to consolidate and then build again.
He said: "Why not? We’re now finally starting to play our game."
