Andrea Radrizzani hails Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa as Brighton emphasise Ben White stance

Here is your Leeds United morning digest for Tuesday, August 25.

Radrizzani names the three attributes Bielsa has brought to Leeds

Andrea Radrizzani has hailed the influence of Marcelo Bielsa on the culture of Leeds United as he reflected on the club's promotion back to the Premier League.

Leeds' 16-year top flight absence ended last month when the Whites swept to the Championship title, finishing ten points clear of their nearest rivals, West Bromwich Albion.

That meant Leeds chairman Radrizzani was able to realise his promotion dream three years after taking full control of the Elland Road side, with the Italian paying special tribute to his head coach.

Brighton double-down on White stance

Brighton will not sell Ben White to Leeds United as they will not consider a deal that would strengthen a direct rival.

Marcelo Bielsa is desperate for White to return to Elland Road after his successful loan stint last season but the Seagulls are refusing to discuss a deal.

Leeds have seen bids rejected for the defender and Sky Sports states they will not sell for any price.

Brighton finished seven points clear of the relegation zone last season and are expected to be involved in another scrap in the bottom half next term.

Leao told to reject Leeds move

AC Milan striker Rafael Leao has been warned against completing a move to the Premier League this summer.

Leeds United have been linked recently after their promotion to the Premier League but legendary former Milan midfielder Massimo Ambrosini believes Leao would be making a mistake by leaving.

“Leao must stay and take to the field, eager to be decisive,” World Cup winner Ambrosini told Gazzetta dello Sport. “If Ibra stays, (Leao) will make it.

“Some players must mature and, next season, the Rossoneri’s bar will rise with people like Ibra. He is able to give his teammates the awareness of being at the top, so go ahead with him.”
