Andrea Pirlo is set to be announced as Juventus' new head coach following the sacking of Maurizio Sarri.
Pirlo became a Juventus legend during his playing career, and was hired by the Bianconeri as their Under-23s coach on 30 July this year.
However, the 41-year-old is now set to become the first team's new head coach following the sacking of Sarri on Saturday, with multiple reports in the Italian media suggesting Juve are due to announce their decision imminently.
Sarri led Juve to their ninth successive Serie A title this season, but the Scudetto was not enough to save his job as the former Chelsea boss received his marching orders following Juve's Champions League last-16 exit to Lyon.
Pirlo's imminent unveiling comes as a shock, particularly given the only previous coaching experience on his resume comes from his brief stint as Juve's U23s boss - and he is yet to coach a single game for the Bianconeri's youth side.
