Andrea McLean's husband's great response after hungover TV star asks for morning 'shot'

Andrea McLean has shared her husband's hilarious response after she requested a 'shot' this morning following a late night of drinking.

The former Loose Women presenter, 51, admitted she was feeling worse for wear today after staying up until 2am drinking vodka in a virtual call with her Scottish relatives.

Posting a screenshot of a text message exchange on her Instagram stories, the hungover TV star shared her husband Nick Feeney's reaction after she asked for a 'shot' on Saturday morning - thinking she meant alcohol instead of coffee.

When asked if she wanted a bagel, she texted 'and a shot please' to which he replied: "Of what???'

Andrea then sent the coffee emoji as he replied 'Oh!".

She wrote: "Text between @lordfeeney and myself... the morning after a video call with my Scottish cousins that ended at 2am... with vodka #imaybehungover."

Andrea and her husband later posted a selfie enjoying their coffees while relaxing in the hot tub of their Surrey home.

It comes after the presenter opened up about how leaving Loose Women left her worrying about money - and she even considered selling her mansion.

The Scots TV star stepped down from the ITV show last month after 13 years following the shock decision to quit her high-profile TV job in order to focus on her online company.

The journalist has now spoken candidly about the financial worries she had prior to leaving the weekday panel show - which included fearing she would have to put her Surrey home up for sale.

She told OK! magazine : "'It was such a slow burner. By the time it came around, it felt like absolutely the right thing to do. It was a weird decision - it did feel scary!

"It took months of thinking about it. We were preparing for the worst and hoping for the best. Nick and I sat down and wrote what we needed to prepare for."

She added: "Worst case - we would have to sell the house. Best, the This Girl Is On Fire membership and website we've set up works and we're successful with that."

Andrea said goodbye to her role as a Loose Women host at the end of last year, opting to focus on her website This Girl Is On Fire with her partner.

She said: "I want to be brave, all the incredible feedback I've had from my book and the support I was able to give, I want to bring it to life.

"It was a really dig decision to jump to see if I fall or if I fly. And I just knew I would never know if I never tried.

"So I am saying goodbye to Loose Women."

Back in December, Andrea shocked the nation as she announced live on air that she was quitting Loose Women after 13 years.

The age-defying beauty burst into tears as she revealed the news to her co-stars Coleen Nolan, Janet Street-Porter and Judi Love.

She said on her final show: "It's really weird, it's like coming to your own wedding and funeral at the same time.

"I have no idea what's going to happen today."
