Andrea McLean's husband's brilliant reply after hungover star asks for morning 'shot'

Worse for wear Andrea McLean had to share her husband's fantastic response after she asked for a morning "shot" following a heavy night.

Andrea, who left her job on Loose Women at the end 2020, had a long night of drinking as she caught up with her family.

The 51-year-old stayed up until 2am sinking vodka in a Zoom call with her relatives before she eventually climbed into bed.

Poor husband Nick Feeney had to look after her but things took a funny turn in the morning.

Posting a screenshot of a text message exchange on her Instagram stories, she shared her hubby's reaction on Saturday morning.

She asked for a 'shot' after waking up - and he thought she meant alcohol... not coffee.

When asked if she wanted a bagel, she texted 'and a shot please' to which he replied: "Of what???"

Andrea then sent the coffee emoji as he replied "Oh!"

She wrote: "Text between @lordfeeney and myself... the morning after a video call with my Scottish cousins that ended at 2am... with vodka #imaybehungover."

Back in December, Andrea shocked the showbiz world by announcing live on air that she was quitting Loose Women after 13 years.

She said: "I want to be brave, all the incredible feedback I've had from my book and the support I was able to give, I want to bring it to life.

"It was a really dig decision to jump to see if I fall or if I fly. And I just knew I would never know if I never tried.

"So I am saying goodbye to Loose Women."

She told OK! magazine more about her big decision.

"It was such a slow burner. By the time it came around, it felt like absolutely the right thing to do. It was a weird decision - it did feel scary!

"It took months of thinking about it. We were preparing for the worst and hoping for the best. Nick and I sat down and wrote what we needed to prepare for."

She added: "Worst case - we would have to sell the house. Best, the This Girl Is On Fire membership and website we've set up works and we're successful with that."
