Andre Villas-Boas in Marseille quit vow after Olivier Ntcham loan signing from Celtic

Marseille manager Andre Villas-Boas has offered his resignation after the club signed Olivier Ntcham without his input.

The Celtic midfielder joined the Ligue 1 outfit on loan and Villas-Boas has revealed he didn't want to sign him and has now vowed to quit the club.

It's a huge blow to Ntcham, who wanted to leave Neil Lennon's side and head back to his homeland.

Marseille have the option to buy Ntcham in the summer but the move isn't getting off to the best start with Villas-Boas looking to leave the club.

In an incredible press conference, he said: "I just want to leave Marseille. I am not asking anything else from the board."

"I haven't heard back from the board yet about my offer to resign.

"It's a decision that was not made by me. This is a player I said no to. I didn't know about it, I found out when I woke up and went to the OM site.

"I don't want money, I just want to leave."

It's the second issue to hit Ntcham since leaving Celtic Park, with Marseille fans fizzing over his signing after he publicly admitted he supported PSG.

In an previous interview, he said: "I am a supporter of Paris Saint-Germain and I have always been.

"They are a team that I follow regularly, I try to watch all the matches, I support them. When they score, it does something to me."
