Andre Onana sends message to Hakim Ziyech over £33.4m transfer that will excite Chelsea fans

Hakim Ziyech will be a Chelsea player once the summer transfer window opens.

The news of a deal worth £33 million potentially rising to £36 million being agreed between the Blues and Ziyech's club Ajax was confirmed by both clubs on Thursday.

"Chelsea Football Club has reached an agreement with Ajax to sign Hakim Ziyech this summer," read a statement on Chelsea's official website."The move is subject to the player agreeing personal terms and he will remain at the Dutch club for the rest of this season."

The arrival of Ziyech could prove to be a timely boost for Frank Lampard's side as they look to hang onto fourth place in the Premier League in order to secure Premier League football next season.

Upon the announcement of the news, Ziyech has received congratulations messages from around football, with Ajax goalkeeper and reported Chelsea target Andre Onana taking to social media to send a classy message to his teammate.

"Teammate, friend, brother... I'd like to wish you the best for this next chapter. You and I have come from the bottom and we both know nobody gives you anything for free. We have been teammates for 4 seasons where we've lived moments that I'd never forget," he wrote on his Twitter account.

"We have laughed, cried, worked real hard and enjoyed so many experiences together and I wouldn't change these for the world. It's been absolute pleasure my friend. Always with a smile and always willing to help your teammates. We still have a few months to achieve big things.

"Enjoy every moment and we will enjoy of your company every day. Go smash it, brother."

Onana is another Ajax player who has been linked with a summer move to Stamford Bridge with Kepa Arrizabalaga's future at the club looking uncertain after being dropped for the Blues' last Premier League game against Leicester City.
