Andre Gray 'considered' for Rangers loan as Steven Gerrard eyes Watford's record signing

Rangers are considering a loan bid for Watford striker Andre Gray  - according to a report.

The striker became the Hornets record signing following an £18million move from Burnley in 2017 and has made 31 appearances this season.

Steven Gerrard is keen on boosting his firepower as he and director of football Mark Allen target signings to help mount a credible title challenge against Celtic.

According to The Herald , Gray has emerged as an option amid the possibility Alfredo Morelos may leave at the end of the season.

The Ibrox club could cash in on the Colombian following two successful campaigns in Glasgow.

Meanwhile, one player who looks almost certain to depart Rangers in the summer is Lee Wallace.

The long-serving left-back is out of contract come the end of the current campaign and he's emerged as a target for Dundee United.

Arabs boss Robbie Neilson is understood to be keen on a reunion with his former Hearts team-mate - although Wallace is unlikely to be short of options.

The 31-year-old has attracted interest from a number of English Championship sides but could opt to remain in Scotland if United navigate the play-offs and seal a return to the top flight.
