Tottenham Hotspur star Son Heung-Min was sent off during their clash with Everton after Andre Gomes suffered a suspected broken ankle.
The Spurs forward appeared to trip the Toffees' playmaker and as he stumbled Gomes' ankle appeared to break after colliding with Serge Aurier.
Son, who was visibly distraught from the incident, was initially shown a yellow card before referee Martin Atkinson decided to brandish a straight red.
Similarly, Aurier, who was visibly affected, was substituted by Mauricio Pochettino shortly after and replaced by Juan Foyth.
The incident caused a lengthy delay to proceedings at Goodison Park, with Tottenham leading 1-0 thanks to Dele Alli's goal, with 12 minutes of stoppage time added on, before Everton equalised and the game finished 1-1.
Similarly, the Everton bench, including Seamus Coleman who suffered a similar injury, raced on to the field after seeing the severity of Gomes' injury.
After receiving treatment on the field, Gomes was stretchered off the field and rushed to hospital.
