Andre Gomes' future set to be decided amid Spurs and West Ham links

Everton look set to clinch the permanent signing of Andre Gomes after agreeing on a fee with Barcelona.

The Portuguese international spent last campaign on loan at Goodison Park and made a huge impression on Merseyside after struggling during his time at the Nou Camp following his move from Valencia in 2016.

However, the fact that no clause was inserted into the loan deal meant that other interested clubs could potentially nip in and sign the 25-year-old ahead of the Toffees.

Both Spurs and West Ham were linked with the midfielder but it now appears that Marco Silva will finally get his man.

The Liverpool Echo report that the two clubs have agreed on a fee of just over £22million for the ex-Valencia star.

Contracts have yet to be signed but there's hope that the transfer can be done and dusted inside the next 24 hours.

The news that Gomes is set to put pen-to-paper on a deal in L4 will finally put talk of a move elsewhere to bed.

Spurs, who have yet to sign a single player ahead of next season, have been linked with Lyon's Tanguy Ndombele and Real Betis' Giovani Lo Celso, while West Ham strengthened in midfield last week with the addition of Pablo Fornals from Villarreal.
