Andre Drummond is preparing for the NBA season one beer at a time

Ahead of his eighth season with the Pistons, 6-foot-11 center Andre Drummond is working to transform his diet by eliminating red meat, and is compensating for the calorie loss with a beer per day.

Drummond told the Detroit Free Press that his personal chef has started to buy him grocery store staples, like Miller Lite and Corona. According to Drummond. “if you do it the right way, it’s actually not bad for you.”

Via the Detroit Free Press:

The Detroit Pistons center said recently he has eliminated red meat from his diet mainly consisting of fish and vegetables.

To ensure the necessary caloric intake, he drinks a beer per day.

He was drawn to Miller Lite because, well, that’s what his personal chef bought.

Professional athletes burn so many calories training that drinking a beer per day isn’t an issue health-wise, I’m mostly just concerned by his chef’s choice in beers. Someone in the Pistons organization needs to broaden Drummond’s beer horizons.
