Andre Drummond, Blake Griffin lift Pistons to best start in a decade

DETROIT _ The last time the Detroit Pistons were 4-0, the franchise had just acquired Allen Iverson.

And in facing a winless team missing its best player Thursday night, the Pistons were able to cross that low threshold at Little Caesars Arena.

After struggling in Tuesday night's overtime victory over the Philadelphia 76ers, Andre Drummond dominated with 26 points and 22 rebounds in the Pistons' 110-103 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Two nights after scoring 50 points against the Philadelphia 76ers, Blake Griffin scored an efficient 26 points on 9-for-13 shooting. He was 4-for-5 from 3-point range for the Pistons, who moved to 4-0 for the first time since the 2008-09 season.

The Cavs (0-5) were without Kevin Love (sore foot).

After going scoreless in the first half, Reggie Jackson scored 16 points in the second half, although he was 5-for-10 at the free-throw line.

Kyle Korver scored 21 points off the bench for the Cavs before fouling out.

Luke Kennard's tough start to the season continued.

The second-year shooting guard was having an excellent first half, scoring eight points on 4-for-4 shooting, when he suffered a right shoulder injury.

ESPN.com's Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting he suffered a right shoulder strain and will undergo an MRI on Friday.

He suffered a left knee strain before the start of Las Vegas Summer League play which cost him two months of basketball activity.

Ish Smith also the left the game in the second half with a left leg issue.

He re-entered the game late, when coach Dwane Casey wanted an extra ball-handler.
