Andre Dillard starting to flash enormous potential that made him 1st-round pick

Andre Dillard is the future at left tackle, yet the one things that make this Eagles roster so special is the willingness of legendary veterans to accept that as such. Jason Peters is spreading 15 years of NFL knowledge on Dillard one day at a time and the tutorials are starting to pay off.

On Monday, Dillard showed flashes of that potential, dominating Vinny Curry and Josh Sweat at times during their interactions and leaving analysts and the media alike impressed by what’s coming down the pike.

Dillard is far from ready to start at left tackle, but he doesn’t have to deal with the mounting pressure that a normal first-round pick might incur. Dillard will likely see playing time, but it’ll be at his own pace barring serious injury.
