Andraz Sporar transfer latest as Celtic target nears move to Sporting Lisbon

Celtic look set to miss out on Andraz Sporar with the Slovan Bratislava striker set to sign for Sporting Lisbon - according to a report.

The Slovenian international will sign a four-and-a-half-year deal with the Portuguese giants after a fee of €7m (£6m) was agreed between the clubs.

Portuguese outlet A Bola report that Sporar will leave a training camp in Turkey to undergo a medical in Lisbon before signing his contract later this week.

The 25-year-old was high on Neil Lennon's wanted list but Sporting jumped to the front of the queue with their big money bid.

Sporar is currently in Turkey on a winter training camp with Slovan Bratislava and will complete his move once the finer details are ironed out between the two sides.

The Hoops have already signed a striker in this window with Polish frontman Patryk Klimala joining on Tuesday.

He signed a four-and-a-half year deal for a fee of around £3.5m after Celtic matched the release clause in his Jagiellonia contract.

Klimala will be joined soon by midfielder Ismaila Soro who is set to play his final game for Israeli outfit Bnei Yehuda.

The 21-year-old will sign for a fee of around £2m.
