Andraz Sporar to Celtic takes another twist as Neil Lennon admits striker IS a transfer option

Neil Lennon has conceded in-demand Slovan Bratislava striker Andraz Sporar is a transfer option for Celtic.

The Hoops boss talked down his side's interest in the red-hot Slovenian in the aftermath of his side's win over Hibernian last weekend but has now admitted the 25-year-old could be a potential target.

The plot thickened on Thursday when Bratislava chief Ivan Kmotrick claimed Celtic had made a "specific offer" for the man who leads the scoring charts in Slovakia.

But Lennon , who insists no offer has been made, has softened over his previous stance on Sporar.

He said: "We haven't made a bid. We are looking at options going forward but there's been no bid from us.

"He is an option and one of a number we are looking at."

Lennon has made no secret of his desire to strengthen his forward line during the January transfer window.

Star man Odsonne Edouard missed several games due to a "niggle" and Leigh Griffiths and Vakoun Bayo have been absent for extended spells during the season.

The lack of options through the middle led to Lewis Morgan being converted into a striker for the Betfred Cup Final clash against Rangers earlier this month.
