Andraz Sporar Celtic puzzler as Slovan Bratislava chief counters Neil Lennon's transfer dismissal

Slovan Bratislava chief Ivan Kmotrick insists Celtic HAVE made an approach for striker Andraz Sporar - despite Neil Lennon's recent dismissal.

Mail Sport this week revealed the Hoops had been given a green light in the pursuit of the highly-rated frontman.

But Celtic boss Lennon dismissed the club's interest just hours later following the win over Hibs.

The potential transfer has now been thrust back into the spotlight via Kmotrick's fresh claims that the Premiership champions have tabled a "specific offer".

Sporar has 20 goals from 26 appearances this season, including netting five in six during the Europa League group stage.

And Kmitrick said: "It is true that Celtic has sent us a specific offer and has shown an enormous interest in Andraz Sporar.

"Other strong clubs from countries such as France, Spain, Italy, Portugal and Belgium have also heard from us.

“The interest is great and we expect it to be even more pronounced during the transition period.

“I think its price is much higher (than €5.5m). I cannot imagine selling Andraz for less than €7m-€8million.”
