Day expressed gratitude for the opportunity to perform a unifying song and acknowledged the presence of differing opinions as a normal occurrence. She highlighted the significance of standing in the shoes of those who came before her, such as Sheryl Lee Ralph, who performed the Black National Anthem at the 2023 Super Bowl.

During a press conference ahead of the Super Bowl, Day, along with Post Malone and Reba McEntire, shared insights with fans about their upcoming performances. Day described the song she performed as a hymn of triumph and emphasized the intention and purpose behind her work.

Looking forward, Day discussed her excitement for her upcoming project, Cassandra, where she will have more creative control and involvement in the production process. She shared that the album reflects the various experiences and growth she has undergone in recent years.
