England returned to World Cup qualifying action with a drab 1-0 win over minnows Andorra, the world’s 173rd-ranked team, in a serviceable but uninspiring performance from Thomas Tuchel’s side.
Noni Madueke was a bright spark for the visitors and was rewarded with an assist for Harry Kane’s 50th-minute opener, latching onto a deflection and laying off a cross into space for the club captain.
It was a 72nd international goal for Kane, but while England had plenty of possession and touches in the opposition box, they were low on quality, with Gordon missing a chance to tap in at close range from a Madueke cut-back in the closing stages of extra time.
Several players will be off to the Club World Cup after this qualifier and the friendly against Senegal that follows, underlining the hectic schedule with which top footballers have to contend, and some exhaustion was evident after a lengthy club season.

- '50 GOAL! Kane scores 72nd international goal to break deadlock
'Disappointed' not to score more for fans - Kane
19:17 , Flo Clifford“We got three points, we've got a friendly on Tuesday against an opposition we might face next year [Senegal].
“The fans were great even though they were spread out in the stadium, and obviously we're disappointed we couldn't score a few more for them,” Kane adds.
'June camp is never easy' - Kane
19:11 , Flo CliffordAsked about Noni Madueke, he says: “He was a constant threat today and he got the assist as well. We need more of that – we’ve got amazing players and you need one v one quality in these games.
“The June camp is never easy after a long season, but we got what we needed.“
'I don't think people will remember this one' - Harry Kane
19:06 , Flo CliffordHarry Kane speaks to ITV: “It’s one of those. We can play better, I don’t think many people will remember this one. It wasn’t our greatest performance, but we can learn from it. It’s very hot here, dry pitch, probably similar conditions to next year at the World Cup.
“We had good spells but we couldn’t consistently have attack after attack. We take the three points and move on.
“We probably weren’t good enough on the ball – we kept giving it away, which gave them confidence and energy. At 1-0 with five, ten minutes to go you’ve got to be careful. It is what it is.”
FULL-TIME: Andorra 0-1 England
18:54 , Flo Clifford90+3 mins: That’s the last action of the game. A win for England, but it doesn’t much feel like one. Deeply drab football.
CHANCE! Andorra 0-1 England
18:53 , Flo Clifford90+3 mins: Andorra toy with the idea of an equaliser but England break... Gibbs-White crosses into the centre of the box. Gordon pokes it towards Madueke, who bundles a cross in from the back post, but Alvarez clears before Gordon can scramble it in! Sums up the afternoon, really.
Andorra 0-1 England
18:51 , Flo CliffordThree minutes added on.
Andorra 0-1 England
18:50 , Flo Clifford90 mins: Madueke goes for a one-two with Kane but Olivera outmuscles him off the ball.
Andorra have the ball, Lopez crosses from the back line into space, but England clear. Kane is surrounded on the edge of the box and draws a foul.
Bellingham is replaced by Gibbs-White.
Andorra 0-1 England
18:46 , Flo Clifford86 mins: An insipid performance. England pass the ball about between themselves for a bit.
Andorra 0-1 England
18:41 , Flo Clifford82 mins: England have a free-kick, 22 yards out just to the left of goal. James blasts over the bar and covers his face with his shirt. Dreadful.
Andorra make another change: Guillen off for De Las Heras.
Andorra 0-1 England
18:40 , Flo Clifford81 mins: Tuchel, perhaps unnerved by that Andorra chance, makes two more changes. Rogers and Jones are replaced by Gordon and Rice.
CHANCE! Andorra 0-1 England
18:37 , Flo Clifford76 mins: Having literally just typed that, Andorra have a rare chance! Vales plays a nice backheel to Lopez, getting the better of Burn, but his shot takes a deflection off Konsa and there’s no-one in the box to latch onto the rebounding ball.
SAVE! Andorra 0-1 England
18:34 , Flo Clifford75 mins: Madueke lays it off for Bellingham on the overlap, who crosses in for Eze. His dinked header is tipped over the crossbar by Alvarez!
The positive for England is even if they don’t score again, Andorra don’t look like doing so either.
More Andorra changes: Vales comes on for Babot, Rubio for Borra.
Andorra 0-1 England
18:32 , Flo Clifford72 mins: The cameras pan to Tuchel, who cuts a more animated figure than most of his players on the touchline. More intensity, he seems to be saying.
Jones cuts back from the back line into acres of space in the box, but has no teammate to receive.
Andorra 0-1 England
18:29 , Flo Clifford71 mins: England win an 11th corner. Eze punts a short wide from the edge of the box.
Andorra 0-1 England
18:27 , Flo Clifford67 mins: Madueke wins a corner as Garcia tumbles into him down the right flank. Alexander-Arnold’s first touch will be from the corner; his delivery is towards Bellingham at the far post but an Andorra defender knocks it out of the box. England come again, but Marc Garcia sends it out for another corner.
Another Alexander-Arnold delivery is headed away.
Andorra 0-1 England
18:25 , Flo Clifford65 mins: Changes for both sides. Palmer and Henderson are off, for Eze and Alexander-Arnold. Marc Garcia and Lopez come on for Fernandez and Rodrigo.
Andorra 0-1 England
18:22 , Flo Clifford62 mins: Kane takes a touch and boots it goalward with his laces, but Alvarez leaps to collect. Looked like a bit of a mishit.
Madueke now darts into the box, wrongfoots Borra and cuts inside to attempt a low strike, but it’s straight at the keeper.
Andorra 0-1 England
18:17 , Miguel Delaney1-0 England, which ends this event as any sort of contest. They didn't have to do that much in this instance, a break seeing Kane get beyond the defence. His initial shot was saved before Madueke steered the ball for the striker to have another chance, for his 72nd England goal.
Andorra 0-1 England
18:16 , Flo Clifford57 mins: Madueke continues to be a bright spark down England’s left flank, crossing in again as a host of white shirts crowd into the Andorra penalty area to get on the receiving end of a Bellingham cross, but he’s outmuscled by two defenders. Llovera makes the eventual clearance.
Andorra 0-1 England
18:15 , Flo Clifford55 mins: There was a very muted celebration for that goal. The Andorran air horn contingent are still the loudest people in this rather empty stadium.
Pickford for once is called into action as Burn hoofs the ball back towards him, with an Andorran shirt muscling in to try to capitalise, but it’s straight back to another spell of England possession again.
GOAL! Andorra 0-1 England
18:11 , Flo Clifford50 mins: Took a while, but England are in front!
Jones bundles in a high cross for Kane; Alvarez gets a toe to Kane’s first attempt, but it deflects into the path of Madueke. The Chelsea man pulls back from the near post low into the path of the sliding Kane, who hammers it into the roof of the net.
Andorra 0-0 England
18:09 , Flo Clifford50 mins: The Andorran air horns have resumed with equal enthusiasm to their first half.
Andorra have a spell of possession before England build again, Rogers darting down the right flank and passing to Kane, who passes straight back out again.
Garcia, Andorra’s man of the match so far, heads away a Rogers cross in the area.
Andorra 0-0 England
18:07 , Flo Clifford47 mins: A less than ideal start for Tuchel’s men, as Andorra striker Fernandez is released in space but punts an attempt wide.
No changes for either side at the break.
SECOND HALF: Andorra 0-0 England
18:04 , Flo Clifford46 mins: Here we go then. Let’s hope this half is more inspiring than the previous.
Andorra get us underway.
'Possibility of embarrassment' for England
18:04 , Miguel DelaneyA thoroughly uneventful game, which of course makes this something of an event, since Thomas Tuchel's England are now facing up to the possibility of embarrassment. The fans booed them off for drawing 0-0 with Andorra at half-time, but then that's not exactly unfamiliar. England have experience of this. Steve McLaren's side were in the same position in the Euro 2008 qualifiers, before winning 3-0, and their very next fixture saw Fabio Capello's England also go in 0-0 at half-time, before winning 2-0. There was actually that rushed energy to England's play early on. It doesn't help that the pattern of play essentially means Dan Burn is on the ball more than anyone. England could do with a playmaker there. Instead, Burn gave the ball away for one moment of danger from Andorra. England are otherwise struggling to open a side that sometimes has five players in their own six-yard box.
HALF-TIME: Andorra 0-0 England
17:51 , Flo CliffordBoos as England troop off at the half-time whistle. They’ve had plenty of possession (73%) and shots (10, four on target) but nothing to show for it.
However, that’s been a cracking half for Andorra, the 173rd-ranked team in the world.
HALF-TIME: Andorra 0-0 England
17:49 , Flo Clifford45+1 mins: Andorra make a rare counter-attack, with the so far-anonymous Jordan Henderson called into action to deal with it.
Madueke combined nicely with Bellingham in the centre of the box, passing back to the Real Madrid man, but his flicked header is straight to Alvarez!
That’s the last action of the half.
Andorra 0-0 England
17:47 , Flo Clifford44 mins: Pretty uninspiring stuff so far, as we’ve come to expect from England playing against distinctly inferior opposition.
Andorra have done well to frustrate them. Alvarez takes a goal-kick. A host of Andorran fans with air horns have shown the most energy of anyone in this stadium so far.
Andorra 0-0 England
17:42 , Flo Clifford39 mins: England should really be ahead. Rogers with some fancy footwork: he makes an electric turn on the right flank, ducking past two defenders, and crosses into the centre of the box - but Garcia makes the crucial block.
Andorra 0-0 England
17:39 , Flo Clifford37 mins: Break in play as an Andorran player gets treatment for a head injury. The England players head off to receive some words of wisdom from Tuchel.
Andorra 0-0 England
17:39 , Flo Clifford36 mins: Madueke, England’s most promising player so far today, curls a nice cross on the spin from the right that just about brushes past a defender. There’s a very quick VAR check for handball that comes to naught.
So far goalkeeper Alvarez is having a busy day. He leaps onto an attempt by Bellingham from 25 yards out that takes a helpful deflection towards him.
Andorra 0-0 England
17:34 , Flo Clifford31 mins: James whips in a cross but Garcia heads away. England are looking a bit frustrated by this dogged Andorran defence. Bellingham gets tetchy with the referee and is shepherded away by Kane.
Garcia brings down Kane with a robust challenge in the box as the England captain latches onto a decent ball from the right. He’s very pleased with himself for that one.
Andorra 0-0 England
17:28 , Flo Clifford26 mins: Andorra make a rare foray into England’s half and win a free-kick on the right of the box. Cervos’ delivery is cleared by Bellingham, but falls to Borra. He has a speculative punt from distance but it flies into the stand of England fans behind the goal.
87% possession for England so far.
Andorra 0-0 England
17:24 , Flo Clifford21 mins: On the replay, it looked like Madueke’s ball took a deflection away from Kane, while Jones’ pull-back was slightly behind him. Still, at six yards out, that one should have gone it.
Just before that, Konsa was lucky to not get some sort of warning for clattering an Andorra defender across the face with his boot, with the ball nowhere near him.
The camera pans to some travelling fans wearing hybrid Hawaiian-style England shirts, which are a bit of a travesty.
Andorra 0-0 England
17:22 , Flo Clifford19 mins: Corners a plenty in these early stages, but a lack of final product.
Now Madueke latches onto a long, looping ball, driving it low across the face of goal with a bit too much pace on it for Kane. It reaches Jones at the back post, the Liverpool man takes a heavy touch and pulls back towards Kane, but the striker blasts wide.
SAVE! Andorra 0-0 England
17:16 , Flo Clifford14 mins: Rogers is released down the right and sprints to the byline, Madueke making his way to the near post, but Garcia makes an excellent block.
England take the corner short, Palmer’s cross is cleared but recycled. Madueke, teed up by a short ball from Bellingham, has a lovely strike from the edge of the box but Alvarez gets his fingertips to punch it away!
Andorra 0-0 England
17:14 , Flo Clifford11 mins: England win a free-kick, Palmer plays the set-piece towards Konsa, but he’s on the deck after a coming-together with an Andorran defender. VAR have a check for a penalty... none coming.
Andorra 0-0 England
17:11 , Flo Clifford8 mins: Plenty of action down England’s right flank at the moment. The ball is squared to Curtis Jones in the box, who takes a shot, but it’s blocked.
Bellingham now dances between two defenders on the right side of the box, taking his time before lobbing in a shot goalwards, but Alvarez collects.
Andorra 0-0 England
17:08 , Flo Clifford5 mins: Andorra are entirely camped out in the ir own box. England win a corner, Bellingham and Madueke pressing nicely.
Palmer floats in a nice high delivery, with a whole host of white shirts in space, but it’s cleared.
Andorra 0-0 England
17:03 , Flo Clifford1 min: As you’d expect, England are seeing all of the possession early doors, although Palmer briefly gives it away with a sloppy pass.
Bellingham has a go from range inside the first minute, but it’s thumped straight at keeper Alvarez.
KICK-OFF: Andorra vs England
17:02 , Flo CliffordHere we go then, on a nice sunny evening in Barcelona.
England get us underway!

Tuchel anticipates being 'huge favourites'
16:50 , Flo Clifford“We anticipate a match where we are huge favourites. We accept the role and we want to live up to that role, so we anticipate a match where we have the majority of the ball. We expect a lot of ball possession, we expect to have the ball and we want to put the ball in the opponent’s half.
“The focus will be on the attacking patterns, on our hunger for the reaction after ball losses for counter-pressing – these will be the main topics for tomorrow and this will then guide and demand the tactics. We want to be fully committed to a World Cup qualifier. It feels like we have to fulfil our own expectations,” Tuchel continued.

'Serious and professional' in line-up - Thomas Tuchel
16:40 , Flo CliffordHere’s what Thomas Tuchel had to say ahead of the game, which gave an indication of which way his team selection might go.
“First of all, I think it’s about being serious and being professional and being determined and showing it also in the line-up.
“It will be an offensive line-up and it will be an attacking line-up and it will give us the opportunity to perform and put the game where we want to have the game and get the result that we want to have and then we will see.
“My thoughts are not so much ‘who can we see?’ and ‘what do we try?’ It’s more about the gameplans and who trains well and who feels well and who has the connections and who showed up in a good rhythm after a long season.
“From there, we take in-game decisions that are necessary according to the flow of the game and then we take the decisions in the friendly match.”

Fans predict 'easy victory' against Andorra
16:30 , Flo CliffordHere’s what some fans had to say ahead of this evening’s encounter.
Andorra haven’t beaten England in any of their six meetings, losing by an aggregate score of 0-25.
'I feel like I've come on leaps and bounds' - Reece James
16:20 , Flo CliffordReece James, selected out of position today at left-back, had this to say in the press conference ahead of the game.
“I had a difficult two or three seasons, always being injured and coming back and breaking down again. It was tough. It takes a lot out of you when you have so many setbacks. This season, I feel like I’ve come on leaps and bounds, playing on a consistent basis and getting selected for England again.”
On the competition for full-back spots, he said, “It’s something I’m used to, playing or competing with world-class players. Of course, it’s going to be tough but we all have different capabilities and different strengths and it’s just about whichever one the manager wants to play.”
Bukayo Saka left out of matchday squad
16:10 , Flo CliffordBukayo Saka has been left out of today’s squad, after Tuchel revealed he was suffering with a knock on Friday.
"It's nice to see that he's back because he wanted to be back, and you straight away see when he comes in that he is comfortable to be with the squad, he knows what it takes to be a national player," the England boss said.
"He came into camp with a little bit of discomfort from the last match against Southampton, so we took care of him and treated him individually until (Friday) basically.
"It was the first training session that he started and finished with the group. (Thursday), he started with the group but did not finish with the group, so let's see.
On England’s next game, against Senegal on Tuesday, he said, “The decision has not been taken, but he will be available for the Senegal match, and he plays a major role in our thoughts of how to build a competitive team."
Team news - Andorra
16:03 , Flo CliffordAndorra XI: Alvarez, Llovera, Garcia, R. Fernandez, Babot, Rodrigo, San Nicolas, Cervos, Guillen, Olivera, Borra
Substitutes: Gomes, Pires, Da Cunha, Vales, Rebes, Alexandre Martinez, Vales, Lopez, De Las Heras, Rubio, Joao Da Silva, Marc Garcia
Team news - England
15:59 , Flo CliffordAs well as experimental, Tuchel has picked an attacking side, as you’d expect with such a wealth of attacking talent in the squad and England expected to have most possession today.
There are five changes from England’s last match, a 3-0 win over Latvia in March.
Dan Burn, Jordan Henderson, Curtis Jones, Noni Madueke and Cole Palmer come into the starting XI, with Marc Guehi (out with an eye injury), Myles Lewis-Skelly (benched), Declan Rice (benched), Jarrod Bowen and Marcus Rashford dropping out.
Team news - England
15:50 , Flo CliffordSomething of an experimental line-up by Tuchel here. Not a single right-back in this squad is playing at right-back, with Reece James instead starting at left-back and Curtis Jones on the opposite side.
Jordan Henderson, who Tuchel has repeatedly backed as a leader, is rewarded with a starting spot in midfield, his first start since November 2023 against Malta. Declan Rice is benched - presumably with one eye on the Senegal game next week.
Team news - England
15:43 , Flo CliffordEngland XI: Jordan Pickford, Reece James, Ezri Konsa, Jordan Henderson, Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham, Dan Burn, Curtis Jones, Morgan Rogers, Noni Madueke, Cole Palmer
Substitutes: Kyle Walker, Declan Rice, Levi Colwill, Morgan Gibbs-White, Anthony Gordon, Dean Henderson, Ivan Toney, Eberechi Eze, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Myles Lewis-Skelly, James Trafford, Trevoh Chalobah
Inside Thomas Tuchel’s first England camp – and how the players really feel
15:30 , Flo CliffordBack in March our Chief Football Writer, Miguel Delaney, wrote about how the players reacted to Thomas Tuchel’s first England camp and what the differences were compared to their time playing under Gareth Southgate.
Here’s a reminder of how things went:

Inside Thomas Tuchel’s first England camp – and how the players really feel
Jack Grealish is at a crossroads – and the next step is far from obvious
15:15 , Flo CliffordOne less surprising omission from Tuchel’s squad is Jack Grealish, who has fallen from favour at both club and country. Richard Jolly analyses his future:
Sometimes a career can be measured by what happens over summers. In 2021, Jack Grealish became the most expensive Englishman in history, the Premier League’s record signing, the £100m man. In 2023, he was the treble winner whose celebrations in Ibiza felt the stuff of legend. In 2024, he was, to his surprise, omitted from England’s European Championships squad. In 2025, it would be rather less of a shock if he is excluded from Manchester City’s Club World Cup squad.

Jack Grealish is at a crossroads – and the next step is far from obvious
A year to go until the World Cup, Thomas Tuchel faces the reality of international football
15:00 , Flo CliffordLimited training sessions, a reliance on club coaches, and preparing for differing conditions all concern the England boss ahead of the World Cup qualifier with Andorra, as Miguel Delaney reports:

A year to go until the World Cup, Tuchel faces the reality of international football
Thomas Tuchel calls for Fifa to scrap ‘not ideal’ June international window
14:45 , Flo CliffordEarlier this spring, Thomas Tuchel said the June international window does not make sense for national team managers due to the drastically different schedules of squad members, with this year’s window complicated by potential headaches over the expanded Club World Cup.
The England boss called for Fifa to “align the calendar” for “the better of the players”, but it is the governing body’s new competition that is going to increase the tension around the window.
Tuchel pointed out that he will be one of many coaches forced to deal with a squad made up of some players just in from European club finals, and others who have been off for weeks, with some then immediately having to jet off to America for a month-long tournament.

Thomas Tuchel calls for Fifa to scrap ‘not ideal’ June international window
Liam Delap and Adam Wharton left out of England Under-21s squad for Euros
14:30 , Flo CliffordOne of the issues with keeping under-21 players out of the senior England squad, so they’re available for the under-21 squad, is that some of those players won’t actually be available for international duty.
New Chelsea signing Liam Delap is the biggest example of this, having been left out of the England Under-21 squad for this summer's European Championships with the striker set to be involved in the Club World Cup.
The 22-year-old forward, who signed for the Blues for a reported £30m this week, was part of Lee Carsley's provisional squad list but will not take the trip to Slovakia.
Why did Adam Wharton miss out?
14:15 , Flo CliffordTuchel spoke about midfielders like Adam Wharton missing out and said: "We had Adam Wharton train with us in the last camp. He was with the Under 21s but trained with us and was very, very good.
"At the moment there is a little injury problem - a concussion protocol going on from the FA Cup final.
"Together with Tino Livramento, Jarell Quansah, Elliott Anderson and Liam Delap - all names who could play a role for us but a major tournament comes up for the Under-21s and the intention is they play a big part in this tournament.
"I like it a lot that they have chances to be leaders in this group, to be players we hopefully will rely on. We will monitor them closely but we decided that with these players they take the responsibility for the Under-21s.”
Tuchel explains why Maguire missed out
14:00 , Flo CliffordOne stalwart of previous Gareth Southgate England squads, who was overlooked this time, is Harry Maguire.
“He is always in my thoughts because he covers the position as a central defender but also as a number nine, as you know,” Tuchel said when asked about why he wasn’t selected.
“He is always a big threat from set pieces and he is a big personality and he steps up in difficult times as you can see in his club.
"At the moment Ezri Konsa keeps his place, Dan Burn has a left foot and keeps his place. We say at the moment Trevoh Chalobah a little bit ahead of Harry.
"I have a very clear picture of Harry and what he represents and what he can bring to a squad.
“I am not so clear how Trevoh will be in this enviroment and performance wise at the moment he is a ltitle bit ahead. He is involved in fighting for Champions League football."
England boss Thomas Tuchel on Jordan Henderson being picked:
13:45 , Flo CliffordWhen the England squad for this round of fixtures was announced two weeks ago, plenty of eyebrows were raised at some inclusions, notably that of Jordan Henderson.
Quizzed about his selection, Tuchel said at the time: “If we have a training exercise with different groups and you have a group with Jordan you can turn your back you don't need to watch.
“He will take care of all the standards in the group. It may be a possession game, a passing exercise, maybe the warm up but you don't need to take care of this group because Jordan takes care of it.
“He sets the standards. He is a natural leader and the others follow. That is why he is with us.
“He is doing this in an impressive way and still playing at a decent level. That is why there was not a thought to drop him."
World Cup 2026: Who is through and how does qualifying work?
13:30 , Flo CliffordEuropean qualifying places available: 16
Teams already qualified: None
No Uefa countries have qualified for 2026 yet, though there’s plenty to play for with 16 places available to European sides.
European qualifying consists of 12 groups, with the group winners all qualifying automatically and the second-placed teams going into a set of play-offs that also includes the four highest-ranked Nations League group winners that have not already qualified. The winners of these play-offs will take the final four spots.
World Cup 2026: Who is through and how does qualifying work?
13:20 , Flo CliffordSeven teams have already qualified for the 2026 World Cup and more are set to join them with international qualification beginning this week.
With the co-hosts USA, Canada and Mexico, there are now 10 teams confirmed. Argentina will return to the 2026 World Cup as champions after the holders beat Brazil 4-1 to go clear at the top of the Conmebol qualifying standings.
Lionel Scaloni’s side will be joined by New Zealand, Japan, Iran, Uzbekistan, South Korea and Jordan for the tournament that runs from 11 June and 19 July next summer.
There will be 48 teams in total taking part in the 2026 edition, which is the first under an expanded format introduced by Fifa.

World Cup 2026: Who is through and how does qualifying work?
Why are England playing Andorra in Barcelona?
13:10 , Flo CliffordEngland take on Andorra this evening in a World Cup qualifier hoping to keep their winning record in tact. Thomas Tuchel has overseen two wins from two since taking charge at the start of the year and has a clear gameplan in mind to challenge Andorra.
The teams are meet at the RCDE Stadium, where the Lionesses recently lost to Spain in their Nations League campaign, after Andorra’s national stadium was unavailable after the recent Games of the Small States of Europe.
Uefa said no stadiums in Andorra were available despite the Andorran Football Federation building a new stadium in the Encamp area. That construction did not meet Uefa deadlines to host this match.
Thomas Tuchel explains decision to recall Ivan Toney to England squad
13:00 , Flo CliffordThomas Tuchel insists he has recalled Ivan Toney to his England squad to “see his personality and his quality” up close ahead of the upcoming World Cup qualifier against Andorra and friendly against Senegal.
The Three Lions boss has shuffled his squad, making seven changes from the group that beat Albania and Latvia.
Toney, who has impressed for Saudi side Al-Ahli since a big-money move from Brentford last summer, has scored 28 goals in 42 games across all competitions en route to winning the Asian Champions League.

Predicted line-up
12:40 , Flo CliffordEngland XI: Pickford; James, Konsa, Colwill, Lewis-Skelly; Rice, Jones; Palmer, Bellingham, Gordon; Kane.
What to expect from Tuchel's England side
12:33 , Flo CliffordTuchel has overseen two wins from two since taking charge of the Three Lions at the start of the year and England sit top of Group K in Europe’s World Cup qualifiers. They defeated Albania 2-0 and Latvia 3-0 during Tuchel’s first camp with Myles Lewis-Skelly, Eberechi Eze and Harry Kane in particular impressing the German coach.
The next camp is preparing to face Andorra, who have lost both of their qualifiers so far, before an international friendly against Senegal which should prove to be a sterner test for Tuchel’s charges.
England team news
12:26 , Flo CliffordIvan Toney was recalled to the England squad for this international window, while Trevoh Chalobah was given his first senior call-up. Cole Palmer could be deployed in behind Harry Kane, who appears set to move level with Bobby Charlton and Frank Lampard on 106 England caps.
Ollie Watkins has withdrawn due to a minor injury, while Bukayo Saka and Conor Gallagher will not feature due to their own issues.
