It’s time to join the rebellion again, as Andor season 2 returns to Disney Plus, bringing one of the streamer’s most acclaimed series back after a long hiatus. While there have been a number of Disney Plus shows set in the Star Wars universe, Andor has risen to the top alongside The Mandalorian, so fans are sure to be hyped for these next 12 episodes, which are set to be the series’ last.
Andor follows Cassian Andor (Diego Luna), telling the story of how he came to become the rebel spy that we meet in Rogue One. Created by Tony Gilroy, who co-wrote Rogue One, the first season of Andor was “Certified Fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes with a score of 96% and earned eight Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series. That’s a lot to live up to, can those expectations be met?

Andor season 2 next episode
Andor season 2 part 2, which contains three more new episodes, is now streaming on on Disney Plus.
The next batch of three episodes arrives on Tuesday, May 6.
In order to watch Andor season 2, you must be a Disney Plus subscriber. There are various options to do this. The first is you can sign up for Disney Plus as a standalone service (ad-supported and ad-free options are available). If you’re in the US, Disney Plus is also included as part of a Hulu with Live TV streaming subscription or you can bundle Disney Plus with Hulu and ESPN Plus with the Disney Bundle.
As a special treat, US viewers with access to ABC can watch Andor season 2 episode 1 on Wednesday, April 23, at 10 pm ET/PT, regardless of whether or not they have a Disney Plus subscription.
Andor season 2 cast
Returning to his role as Cassian Andor is Diego Luna. This has become one of Luna’s signature roles, but he is also known for Y Tu Mama Tambien, Open Range, Milk, Narcos: Mexico and, most recently, La Maquina.
Other returning members of the Andor cast include Stellan Skarsgård as Luthen Rael, Genevieve O’Reilly as Mon Mothma, Kyle Soller as Syril Karn, Adria Arjona as Bix Caleen, Denise Gough as Deedra Meero, Faye Marsay as Vel Sartha, Varada Sethu as Cinta Kaz, Joplin Sibtain as Brasso, Muhannad Bhaier as Wilmon Paak and Kathryn Hunter as Eedy Karn.
New members of the Andor season 2 cast include Rogue One alumni Ben Mendelsohn as Director Orson Krennic, Forest Whitaker as Saw Gerrera and Alan Tudyk voicing K-2S0.
Andor season 2 plot
The makers tease: "Season 2 will see the characters and their relationships intensify as the horizon of war draws near and Cassian becomes a key player in the Rebel Alliance. Everyone will be tested and, as the stakes rise, the betrayals, sacrifices and conflicting agendas will become profound."
The final season will unfold over 12 episodes broken down into four chapters of three episodes each.

Andor season 2 behind the scenes and more
The series was created by Tony Gilroy, who also serves as an executive producer along with Kathleen Kennedy, Sanne Wohlenberg, Diego Luna, Luke Hull and John Gilroy. Tony Gilroy wrote the first three episodes, with Beau Willimon writing episodes 4-6, Dan Gilroy penning episodes 7-9 and Tom Bissell putting pen to paper for episodes 10-12. The directors for the series are Ariel Kleiman (Eps. 1-6), Janus Metz (Eps. 7-9) and Alonso Ruizpalacios (Eps. 10-12).
