Andi Peters stuns Chris Moyles' listeners by revealing secret ventriloquism talent

Andi Peters wowed radio listeners on Tuesday morning, by showing off a a secret 'incredible' and 'weird' talent live on-air.

The British broadcaster, 51, was chatting with radio veteran Chris Moyles on Radio X when he unveiled his impressive ventriloquizing skills.

Speaking to the former Radio 1 DJ live from Wales, where he is currently filming, Andi attempted to subtly chat to Chris about members of his production team who were within earshot.

The presenter's attempt to talk discreetly resulted in him ventriloquizing live on air, leaving The Chris Moyles Show team stunned.

Dominic Byrne, part of the team on the Radio X show, told Andi "we’ve just discovered an incredible skill, your ventriloquism is incredible," before urging him to go on Britain’s Got Talent: "Your lips didn’t move at all! This is Britain’s Got Talent… you should go on, you’d be brilliant!"

"He's too close to me now," Andi uttered, as he tried to chat without others listening.

"So you don't want to talk about him because he can hear you?" Chris checked with the star, who was chatting to the studio over FaceTime.

"You know he's going hear about this? It doesn't matter if you say it like Wallace and Gromit - he's going to find out," the radio presenter added.

As Andi continued to chat to the radio team without moving his lips, host Chris was clearly freaked out - eventually telling the multi-talented star: "stop now, it’s weird!"

Fans loved Andi's cameo on the radio, with one taking to Twitter to gush: "@andipeters always great to hear you on @RadioX - you always make me laugh."

"Andi Peters is so chaotic, I love it!! @RadioX@andipeters," another added, with a third writing: "Oh @andipeters [laugh-face emojis] #Ventriloquist."

Since starting his presenting career on children's BBC in the late 80s, Andi has become one of the nation's best-loved TV personalities.

After becoming a household name presenting shows like Live & Kicking and Top of the Pops, the popular presenter can often be seen on screen on programmes like Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway and Good Morning Britain.

Last year, Andi stepped up at the last minute to present This Morning - after Vernon Kay tested positive for Covid-19 and was forced to drop out of the show.

Shortly after his presenting stint alongside Rochelle Humes aired, ITV viewers rushed to social media to campaign for Andi to be a permanent presenter on the show.

"Can Andi and Rochelle just take over from Phil and Holly? Or am I being unreasonable? [laughing emoji] #thismorning," one fan mused on Twitter in September 2021.

Another added: "Within minutes I realised what a breath of fresh air had happened. What a brilliant presenter Andi Peters is on the show.

"Let’s get him full time please #ThisMorning."
