Andi Peters says he’s ‘here because Joe Swash didn’t turn up’ in tense Loose Women segment

Andi Peters was on a late shift on ITV's competition segment on Wednesday as he ended up presenting Loose Women's cash prize competition.

He usually only stays for Good Morning Britain and This Morning, while Joe Swash takes over for Loose Women at 12:30pm.

But awkwardly, Andi revealed he was forced to stay at work and continue doing the live segments, because Joe failed to come to work.

Jane Moore introduced him: "He is pulling in for a bit of a late one for us, and he is live from Cash Castle, hi Andi!"

Andi replied: "Are you kidding me?

"It does feel really late for me in the day, but am I here simply because Joe Swash didn't turn up?

"We will never know."

But Jane Moore nodded furiously as Andi spoke, implying this was indeed the case.

According to Joe's partner Stacey Solomon's Instagram story, Joe was out for a walk in the forest with their son Rex, while Andi was filming live from the castle.

MirrorOnline has reached out to a rep for Joe Swash for comment.

Meanwhile, panelist Linda Robson opened up on her heartbreaking OCD battle during the show.

She explained: "It does completely consume your life, I ended up in a clinic where they set me boundaries so I wasn't allowed to do all of the jobs.

"There would be a job for someone to lay the table, someone to empty the table, someone to load the dishwasher, someone to empty the dishwasher, someone to do the hoovering, because I was doing all of it."

Linda said lockdown made things even harder as she was stuck at home and had no other distractions.

She revealed that at the height of her struggles, she was washing her bed sheets every single day.

She added that she believes her whole family has a form of OCD too, including her grandchildren.

* Loose Women airs weekdays on ITV at 12:30pm
