VISAKHAPATNAM: A woman and her son were killed in a road accident when their bike was hit by a lorry near Duddupalem area under Chodavaram police station limits in Anakapalle district. The deceased were identified as S Satyavathi (35) and SS Ram (19) from Pedayatapalem area under Sabbavaram mandal of the district. The police said that Satyavathi’s brothers, who are farmers, have been staying at Munagapaka. Satyavathi decided to visit Munagapaka to help her brothers in farming for a couple of days. The accident occurred when they were travelling on a bike to Munagapaka. The victims were shifted to a hospital, where the doctors them brought dead. The Chodavaram police registered a case against the lorry driver for rash and negligent driving. The bodies have been handed over to the relatives of the victims following the post-mortem. TNN
