VIJAYAWADA: A man, whose wife claimed he died after slipping and hitting his head on a rock at their residence at Tadikonda village in Guntur district on Friday, has been found to have been murdered by the woman. The incident came to light on Saturday when his family members were getting ready to hold cremation.
The deceased, identified as Chilaka Ramesh, used to work as a security guard at Tadikonda agricultural market after recovering from a paralytic stroke about five years ago.
Police said he used to have frequent quarrels with his wife Nirmala when he was paralysed. Mangalagiri rural CI Bhushanam said the incident happened on Friday evening when the woman allegedly hit her husband’s head with a rock during an altercation.
