VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh tops the list of states with the highest number of vaccinated people in the age group of 15-18 years. The state is also on the top of the list in successful vaccination of first dose for 100 per cent population.
This was announced by Union health ministry officials on Thursday during a virtual conference of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with chief ministers across the country.
Chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy joined the virtual conference on the prevailing Covid-19 situation and discussed the preventive measures for controlling its spread.
He explained the measures taken by the state government in containing the virus and the vaccination drive across the state. He also briefed the PM on village volunteers’ door-to-door campaign to spread awareness on safety measures and vaccination.
