Andhra Pradesh: Thief gets ‘holed’ up after theft in temple

A suspected thief was reportedly trapped in a hole while trying to decamp with temple jewellery, in Jadimudi village of Kanchili mandal of Srikakulam district on Tuesday.

According to locals, the thief identified as Paparao dug a hole in the wall and entered the temple to steal the jewellery. However, he got stuck in the hole while escaping after committing the theft. He started screaming for help after he was stuck in the hole.

The locals helped him to come out from the hole and offered water. Later, he was handed over to the police for further action.
