Andhra Pradesh: Pakala Police seizes 10 kgs of Ganja, 2 arrested

TIRUPATI: Pakala police arrested two persons on charges of smuggling prohibited Ganja and seized 8 kgs of the banned substance from their possession on Wednesday.

According to Pakala SI S Vamsidhar, K Bhaskar (48) of Puthalapattu and MD Karimulla Basha (26) from East Godavari district were taken into custody for questioning when they were moving around suspiciously near Puligundu cross earlier in the day.

Police booked cases against the duo u/s 20 (b)(ii) (B) NDPS Act. Pakala police had seized 18 kgs of Ganja and arrested 26 smugglers in connection with two smuggling activities reported in the region in the recent past.
