TIRUPATI: Travelling along the Madanapalli-Tirupati route will become much more comfortable and hassle-free as the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) will soon commence and complete the four-laning works along the 135-km stretch covering several assembly and Parliament constituencies located in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh.
Rajampet MP PV Midhun Reddy, who played a key role in getting the approval for the four-laning works along the NH 205 Madanapalli-Tirupati highway, met Union minister Nitin Gadkari and thanked him for the project.
The Rajampet MP said that tenders for the four-laning work were expected to be called for within the next two months and work would begin soon.
"Madanapalli-Piler-Tirupati is one among the fastest growing revenue towns of Chittoor district and the four-laning works along this route will further boost the productivity and development in this region besides bringing down the fatalities due to road accidents as well," said Midhun Reddy.
