Andhra Pradesh: Kurnool writer nominated for Sahitya Academy award

VIJAYAWADA: Telugu writer Ranganadha Ramachandra Rao has been nominated for the prestigious Sahitya Academy award. He was nominated for the award for his translation of Kannada book ‘Om Namo’, written by Santhinadha Desai.

Ramachandra Rao has been a writer, poet and translator for several years and is well known in Telugu and Kannada literary circles. His ancestors hailed from Mysore but settled down in Kurnool several years ago. He has translated over 200 books from Kannada to Telugu .
