Andhra Pradesh: JNTUA gets ISO certification in 5 categories, 3 more for colleges

The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Anantapur received International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) certification in five categories, and colleges on its campus received in another three categories on Wednesday.

University Vice-Chancellor Ginka Ranga Janardhana said that the Hyderabad-based HYM International Certifications Pvt. LTD. had inspected the university premises two months ago and sent a report to the organisation, which handed over certificate to the university - ISO 9001:2015 for Providing Educational Service; ISO 14001:2015 for Implementations of Greenery and Environmental Promotion activities; ISO 27001:2013 for Providing Education Service; ISO 50001:2011 for Implementation of Energy Saving Practices; and Gender Sensitisation Audit.

The JNTUA College of Engineering got ISO 9001:2015 for Providing Educational Service; the JNTUA Management Department and the JNTUA Oil Technological & Pharmaceutical Research Institute got ISO 9001:2015 certificate for Educational Services. MLC Vennapusa Gopal Reddy handed over the certificate to the Vice-Chancellor at a brief function on the campus.
