Andhra Pradesh HC advocate found dead near Kurnool

TIRUPATI: A 65-year-old advocate of AP high court was found murdered close to a private engineering college near Kurnool on Sunday.

The police have identified the advocate as Avula Venkateswarlu, resident of Telecom Nagar in Kurnool city. His family members lodged a missing complaint after Venkateswarlu could not be traced anywhere. According to Kurnool PI P Seshaiah, Venkateswarulu went to meet his kin at Chintakunta village in Mahanandi mandal on April 7 and thereafter his whereabouts were not known.

Legal disputes behind murder

Venkateswarlu was found dead near a private engineering college on Sunday. The police suspect that real estate related legal disputes, for which the high court advocate was appearing, may have led to the murder.

Kurnool taluk police registered a case and shifted the body for post mortem.
