Andhra Pradesh govt to launch land pattas distribution today

VIJAYAWADA: The state government will launch the distribution of permanent land pattas to the owners from October 2, marking the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

The government has selected one village, in each revenue division across the state, to hold the programme.

The government had already made arrangements to distribute these pattas, where integrated survey was already conducted. The integrated survey includes physical identification of the property, fixation of its boundaries and issuance of permanent pattas.

The survey was launched early this year after successful execution of pilot project in Jaggaiahpet assembly constituency of Krishna district last year. The government had engaged several teams, drones and other equipment to conduct the survey and had procured boundary stones too, without giving trouble to the land owners.

The disputes over the boundaries too were resolved on the spot holding consultations with the land owners for which special revenue teams were engaged. The state government plans to complete the total integrated land survey by June 2023.

The survey is first-of-its kind in the last 100 years and the officials are on the job across the state for the past two years.
