AMARAVATI: The state government has made it clear that a decision regarding withdrawal of Pay Revision Commission (PRC) GOs is not possible at this juncture.
The government said that negotiations are the only way to resolve the issue and employees' unions should take part in the talks to end the stalemate.
The high-level committee members including state government advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, municipal administration minister Botcha Satyanarayana, information and public relations minister Perni Venkatramaiah (Nani) and senior officials of General Administration Department (GAD) waited for the employees associations at secretariat to initiate discussions on the PRC issue on Monday.
However, the delegates of employees' associations refused to take part in the discussions till the GOs were suspended. The committee has decided to wait for another day for employees associations to respond and attend the negotiations.
Finance minister Buggana Rajendranath and chief secretary Dr Sameer Sharma, who were part of the committee, could not turn up as they were in New Delhi.
Speaking to the media, state government advisor and principal negotiator on PRC issues, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy said that the committee was constituted to clear the apprehensions of the employees on the issue of pay scales under new fitment.
