Andhra Pradesh govt extends night curfew till August 14

AMARAVATI: The government has decided to extend the 10 pm to 6 am night curfew in the state till August 14.

All shops and commercial establishments have to close by 9 pm. No one would be allowed to roam on the streets after 10 pm without valid passes and health emergencies.

District collectors and police have been asked to take action against those violating curfew guidelines under relevant sections of the IPC and Disaster Management Act.

Though daily Covid-19 cases in the state have come down to between 1,500 to 2,000, and active cases have dipped to around 21,000, there has been a slight rise in daily positive cases as compared to daily recoveries over the last few days. The daily positive cases till last week were below the number of recoveries.
