Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy sprains leg, cancels Delhi trip

AMARAVATI: Chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy sprained his leg while doing morning exercise at his Tadepalli residence on Friday.

He was immediately attended to by doctors, who have advised him rest for a couple of days.

Following the freak sprain, the chief minister has cancelled his Delhi visit, scheduled for two days from Saturday. He was scheduled to attend a meeting of the chief ministers of Naxal-affected states with Union home minister Amit Shah on Sunday. “The Chief Minister sprained his leg. Consequently, his New Delhi trip stands cancelled,” the CMO said in a message. Sources in the chief minister’s office said home minister Mekathoti Sucharita would attend the meeting in Delhi on behalf of the chief minister.
