Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy extends Pandugayala Ratnakar's term as state's special representative in US

AMARAVATI: The Andhra Pradesh government has extended the tenure of Pandugayala Ratnakar as special representative of Andhra Pradesh for North America by another year.

Ratnakar joined the office in September 2019 and completed two years of term.

Ratnakar thanked chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for giving him the opportunity to serve the state.

He said he would keep up the faith of the chief minister on him.

”It is a great opportunity to work with chief minister Reddy, who had been relentlessly working for the upliftment of the poor,” said Ratnakar.

He said that the chief minister had been giving priority to the education and health sectors.

He said that the kind of welfare schemes initiated by Reddy was not being implemented anywhere in the world.

“Andhra Pradesh has become a role model for all the other states under the dynamic leadership of Reddy as he launched several innovative schemes such as ward secretariat system and RBKs,” said Ratnakar.

Ratnakar is a staunch follower of Reddy since the formation of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) and has actively participated in all the party activities.

He served as the YSRCP convener in the US before returning to Andhra Pradesh after Jagan became the CM.
