Andhra Pradesh: Anantapur Police arrests senior citizen after his son settled abroad shares objectionable post against MLA

TIRUPATI: The Anantapur police arrested a senior citizen for a social media post by his son who is settled abroad.

Obul Reddy, currently staying in Uganda, had shared a post against the Kadiri MLA Sidda Reddy, belonging to the ruling YSR Congress. Tracing the roots of his origin, the police landed at his native village in NP Kunta mandal and whisked away his father 70-year-old father Srinivas Reddy.

In spite of the fervent pleas made by the senior citizen on his ignorance over the social media, the cops turned a deaf ear and took him to the Kadiri police station.
