Andhra Pradesh: Amar Nagaram assumes charge as advisor to TTD

TIRUPATI: Young business leader Amar Nagaram assumed charge as the advisor to the richest Hindu temple body in the world — Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), situated in Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh's Chittoor district — on Friday which incidentally was also his last day at Myntra as the chief executive officer.

Accompanied by Tirupati MP Dr M Gurumoorthy, Amar Nagaram formally met TTD chairman YV Subba Reddy, EO Dr KS Jawahar Reddy and additional EO AV Dharma Reddy before taking charge for the futuristic projects.

TTD had recently signed an MoU with Jio platforms limited to move a majority of its pilgrim interface such as darshan and accommodation booking to the online mode.

TTD sources said Amar Nagaram will advise the temple body on all its futuristic projects including the proposal to allott one Udayasthamana seva ticket to donors who donate Rs 1 crore and Rs 1.5 crore to the TTD towards the construction of a world class pediatric super specialty hospital.

Amar Nagaram, who originally hails from Tirupati, joined Myntra as a CEO in January 2019 and reported to the Walmart board.

Before joining Myntra, Amar Nagaram worked as chief technology and product officer at Flipkart and played a key role in building the entire tech stack at Flipkart.
