VIJAYAWADA: Krishna district administration has completed arrangements for the functioning of new district. Arrangements for the collectorate and headquarters or NTR district were completed at the sub collector office constructed during the British era in 1893.
As promised during the election campaign, chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy named the newly-formed Vijayawada district after TDP founder and actor NT Rama Rao. Though Machilipatnam is the administrative headquarters of the united Krishna district, majority of offices including collector, joint collector, and others have a camp office in Vijayawada, which helped the officials to set up new headquarters.
Works on the new collectorate for NTR district have been completed in Vijayawada sub collector office located at MG Road. Nnew boards of NTR district have been arranged at all government offices.
