VIJAYAWADA: A man was found dead under suspicious circumstances in a villa near Nagarjuna university in Guntur on Sunday.
According to police, the deceased was identified as 25-year-old Shail Mohammed of Tipparla Bazar in Mangalagiri. He was an AC mechanic and went to the villa to repair an AC on Sunday afternoon.
Two hours later, their family members got a phone call from the locals stating that Mohammed fell unconscious and was rushed to a private hospital in Mangalagiri. One hour later, he was declared dead.
Mangalagiri sub-inspector Vijay Kumar Reddy told TOI that Mohammed went to the villa in the afternoon and died due to electrocution. The villa belongs to a person named Ganesh Reddy who is working as a personal assistant to minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy.
Police said there is no mystery over the death and it has been confirmed an electrocution case.
