Andhra Pradesh: 31.71% of UG students pass first semester exams in SKU

The pass percentage of undergraduate students of the Sri Krishnadevaraya University in the first semester examination fell by 10% when compared to that of the pre-COVID-19 days.

The examination results were announced by University Vice-Chancellor M. Ramakrishna Reddy on Wednesday. The university officials attributed the reasons of the poor results to the lack of physical classes and a majority of the students from rural areas not having the wherewithal to attend the online classes.

In the results announced for the B.Sc, B. Com, BCA, BA, and BBA courses, of 18,120 students who appeared for the first semester examination held in August and September, 2021, only 5,746 passed in all subjects. The overall pass percentage of the university stood at 31.71%. However, all students have been given a chance to apply for revaluation of papers till April 13.

The worst performers were B.A. students with only 21.23% (396 students of 1,865) managing to pass the examination. Of the 1,189 BBA students, only 459 passed, recording the highest pass percentage of 38.60. Of the 7,929 Bachelor of Commerce students, 2428 passed (30.62%) the examination. Of 7,110 B.Sc. students, 2457 managed to pass (34.56%). Of 27 Bachelor in Computer Application (BCA) students, only six passed the examination (22.22%).
