Anderson Strathern makes two senior hires to its residential team

Anderson Strathern has promoted and appointed two senior figures to its residential team.

Jemma Richardson, deputy head of the firm’s residential property department, was promoted to partner, while Edwina de Klee was appointed as the firm’s purchase and new business manager.

Richardson joined Anderson Strathern from Simpson & Marwick at the beginning of 2020. She was responsible for expanding the firm’s client base as deputy head of residential property, working alongside partner and head of residential property Sara Jalicy.

She has extensive experience in the purchasing and sales of high value residential property markets in Scotland.

De Klee joined the firm from London-headquartered Garrington Property Finders in June.

She has previously held roles at Grant Property as associate director for investment, was a manager at Douglas & Gordon, and a sales negotiator at Savills earlier in her career.

Jalicy said: “The appointments strengthen our offering at a time when we’re experiencing rapid growth.

“The market has been remarkably buoyant throughout the pandemic, in part as many city dwellers make the move to country living. The team also recently secured its first public sector residential tender contract.”

In April, Anderson Strathern announced a merger with Shetland-based legal firm Neil Risk Solicitor and Estate Agent.
