Kevin Anderson awaits the winner of the Rafael Nadal versus Juan Martin del Potro semi after progressing to his first major final at the US Open.
The lanky Anderson dropped the first set against 12th seed Pablo Carreno Busta before rolling over the top of the Spaniard to win in four, 4-6, 7-5, 6-3, 6-4.
The South African will face either US Open champions Nadal or del Potro - both previous winners in New York - in Monday morning's (AEST) final.
