Ander Herrera has thanked Manchester United supporters following his final match-day as a player at the club.
The Spanish midfielder was left out of the squad for United's 2-0 loss against Cardiff but made the trip to Old Trafford to cheer his side on.
Herrera was accompanied by his young daughter in the directors' box as he watched Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his side drop points yet again in the Premier League.
After the match Herrera made his way down to the pitch where he signed autographs and posed for pictures before joining the rest of his side on their lap of honour around the pitch.
It was an emotional farewell for Herrera who announced on Saturday that he would be departing the club once his contract expires at the end of the season.
Taking to social media after the defeat, Herrera posted a picture of himself and his daughter on the Old Trafford pitch along with the caption: "We will never forget United. Forever in our hearts. THANKS".
The message comes as a final farewell from the 29-year-old after he posted a video on social media over the weekend thanking supporters.
He said: "There is red in my heart, I knew it from the first time I played here and in the moment that I first started to wear it.
"A club with thousands of fans that respect and remember all the players who give everything.
"I felt special when I heard my name chanted, I felt proud when the fans decided I was part of this incredible history.
"Every time I represented this club in wins and losses even when I couldn't help from the grass. I understood what this club means.
"I am going to remember each of the almost 200 matches that I played in this jersey. Because playing for the greatest club in England has been a true honour.
"Thanks for these five amazing years."
