Ander Herrera sends Man Utd fans message after being unveiled by PSG

Ander Herrera has bid farewell to Manchester United's supporters with a classy goodbye message, following his unveiling by new club Paris Saint-Germain.

Herrera left United this summer following the expiration of his deal at Old Trafford, following five years at the club.

The 29-year-old was unable to agree a new contract with United chiefs and has put pen-to-paper on a five-year deal with the French champions, which Mirror Football revealed in May is worth in excess of £300,000-a-week.

After his official unveiling at the Parc des Princes on Thursday, the ex-Athletic Bilbao midfielder took to Instagram , to send a message to Red Devils' supporters.

"Thanks to all United fans that are wishing me the best in my new chapter," Herrera wrote.

"You are still supporting me even when I am not at the club anymore, thanks a lot from my heart, I have no words."

Herrera, speaking in France on Thursday, also explained why he agreed a move to the French champions.

"Paris Saint-Germain is the greatest club in France," Herrera said.

"I was looking forward to coming to Paris and to wearing those colours. I hope to continue to make history with the club! Joining this club is an amazing feeling.

"I also love the city. Paris is the most beautiful city in the world.

"I promise three things: work, professionalism and passion. I also promise to improve my French because I think that the language is very important for the team’s communication.”
