Ander Herrera believes Paul Pogba needs to start winning trophies with Manchester United if he is ever going to win the Ballon d'Or.
French midfielder Pogba has enjoyed great success with his national side but has won just two trophies with United since returning to the club in 2016.
Both of Pogba's trophy wins came in his first season under Jose Mourinho but he has now endured three trophyless campaigns in succession.
United triggered a one-year contract extension to keep Pogba at Old Trafford until 2022, but many feel he could be playing his final season for the club due to his continued flirtation with Real Madrid.
Former midfield teammate Herrera believes Pogba has the talent to be the very best player in the world but he admits wider recognition will only come if he manages to add more silverware to his trophy cabinet.
"I think he has got everything," Herrera said at his pre-match press conference. "There are just no others like him, Pogba can play one-on-one, box to box, can play low, high, he definitely has it all."
Herrera highlighted how Pogba's role at United has changed since he left the club, with Bruno Fernandes' arrival pushing him into a less attacking role.
Herrera added: "He has all the skills and talent, he plays deeper now because there is (Bruno) Fernandes but before we used to play with him on the right or left but regardless he has the talent to be one of the best. When you look at the Ballon D’or you need to be a player that can win everything and to be part of a team that can win everything.
"If they are capable of fighting for every trophy he will be on that list. But you always need to have the team to fight for the titles to be there.
"Now, I’m a Paris player so I wish him the best but tomorrow is a different team and now the fight is on."
