From tomorrow to Sunday, the "Blue Andaman Happiness" fair will take place at Khao Lak Centre in Takua Pa district, Phangnga province, to mark the beginning of the high season and the reopening of Surin and Similan national parks, which were closed during the low season to allow natural rejuvenation.
The event is held under the concept of four senses -- Sight, Taste, Smell and Hearing. In Sight, visitors will see marine life in the Andaman Sea in a 200m-long simulation tunnel. In Taste, they will enjoy eating the Andaman Seafood Burger. Smell indulges them in the aroma of freshly cooked food and Hearing is the Andaman Voice Idol contest.
The fair will also feature a local cooking show, the Miss Phangnga Tourism pageant and more than 76 booths selling food and local products.

Creative tourism fair
From Sunday to Nov 26, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) will host the "Amazing Green: A'Maze 2017" fair at Kanchanaburi College of Agriculture and Technology, Kanchanaburi province.
The objectives are to promote learning and tourism in communities and to encourage families to travel and spend time together. Children will learn about nature, sources of food and the importance of farmers.
On 68 rai, visitors will be able to enjoy the Corn Maze, Playground, Farm Pavilion, DIY Workshop, and Talk & Show with inspirational shows and interviews, Eco Product Exhibition and the Local Market.
For admission on the weekend and on Nov 25-26, tickets are priced at 450 baht for children between the ages of four and 10, 500 baht for those above the age of 11 and free for children below the age of four. Admission from Nov 20-23 is free.

Floral festival
Until Feb 28, the "Flora Park Festival 2017" is open daily from 8am-6pm at Wat Pho Chalermphrakiat Intersection on Highway 3052 in Wang Nam Khieo district, Nakhon Ratchasima province.
Wang Nam Khieo is known as the "Switzerland of Isan" due to its cool climate, seasonal foggy weather, numerous mountains, waterfalls and fruit orchards.
Besides showcasing more than 100,000 flowers, plants and trees, the fair has five themed zones for visitors to explore. Zone 1 features auspicious plants, such as pink cassia and Cassia fistula, and temperate flowers, including geranium, salvia, gazania, zinnia, petunia and begonia; a rose zone and rose garden; an orchid section; a flowering plant section; and plants for sale.
Zone 2 has more than 400 auspicious plants and a lawn covering an area of 1,500m². It is next to the Flora Park's flower seed nursery learning centre for sustainable agricultural development.
Zone 3 houses an observation tower for enjoying views of the festival and the surrounding area of Wang Nam Khieo.
Zone 4 displays a 90m-long bamboo tunnel for growing gourd plants. Snake gourd covers the tunnel on top and along the sides while New Guinea bean is being grown inside the tunnel.
Zone 5 has a vertical garden-inspired display of colourful petunia, begonia and coleus, with beautiful rose fences.
The fair also houses a farmers' market selling organic vegetables and a local market. Admission is 120 baht on weekdays and 150 baht on weekends for adults and children who are taller than 145cm. Senior citizens and children who are 90-145cm tall pay 50 baht.
