What cast members are returning for the reboot?

There has been lots of speculation about who is and who is not returning for the SATC reboot, but the big name on everyone's lips is Kim Cattrall. Kim revealed she would not be reprising her fan-favourite role as Samantha in the reboot, due to a falling out with co-star Sarah Jessica Parker.

Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis will all be back reprising their roles as the iconic Carrie Bradshaw, Miranda Hobbes and Charlotte York-Goldenblatt.

It looks like all of the main three girls are still with their retrospective partners, the most on and off couple in the series Mr Big, played by Chris Noth, were seen kissing in the season trailer.

John Corbett, also known as Carrie's other big love in the series Aiden, has been rumoured to be making a return to the series - but he hasn't been seen in trailers or set photos.

Both David Eigenberg and Evan Handler are back reprising their roles as Miranda's husband Steve Brady and Charlotte's husband Harry Goldenblatt.

As well as all the old fan favourites, the series is set to reveal some brand new fresh faces fans have to look forward too.

Willie Garson as Stanford on the set of And Just Like That (Instagram)

What you need to know before watching And Just Like That

And Just Like That is here, so let's do a recap for where the series left off.

At the end of the TV series, we see Mr Big, otherwise known as John James Prescott, fly to Paris and tell Carrie she's "the one". Both the movies saw them at odds with one another as Big left Carrie at the altar in the first movie, and Carrie cheated on Big with love rivals Aiden in the second. However, the everyones favourite dysfunctional couple came out stronger each time and from the trailer looks like they are still together.

Willie Garson who plays Stanford Blatch is reprising his role in the new series, as the actor finished filming all of his scenes for the reboot before he tragically passed away in September due to cancer.

At the end of the second movie, we see Miranda and Steve happy together again as they managed to work things out after Steve's cheating scandal from the first movie. Miranda quit her corporate law job, and moved to a different firm which valued her more - but will she still be a workaholic in the reboot?

Charlotte and Harry, one of the strongest couples in the show and movies battled infertility in the show and at the end of the series adopted baby Lily. In the first movie Charlotte becomes pregnant in a miracle, and gives birth to baby Rose. The reboot will likely see Charlotte living her best life with two teenage daughters and how she handles that change.

Despite the fact Samantha Jones will not be played by Kim Cattrall in the reboot, does not mean they have killed Samantha off. The writers have kept Samantha alive, but off screen in a fitting nod to the character in case Kim and Sarah bury the hatchet and she wishes to return to the show in the future.
