Sarah Jessica Parker has hinted at the possible return of her character from And Just Like That…, months after the Sex and the City reboot was shockingly cancelled after its third season.
That’s right folks, it seems there’s no limit to the amount of sex one can have in the city, with the show’s universe potentially expanding once more — at least if Parker’s recent tease is to be believed.
The actress, who singlehandedly birthed my writing career with her portrayal of the unrealistically paid Carrie Bradshaw, spoke of the character’s future during an interview on CBS Mornings, where she both mourned AJLT’s end and sparked rumours of a reprise.

Parker revealed she has remained in contact with showrunner Michael Patrick King since the season three finale aired back in August, saying the pair agreed that “sometimes it’s best to gracefully walk away when things feel really right and energetic”.
While that signals a closed door for Bradshaw and the gang, Parker stopped short of ruling out her reappearance on screens.
“I’m not certain I understand [what] that decision means, because I could just be on hiatus,” she said while delivering a trademark Bradshawian smirk.
Naturally, the word “hiatus” hints that our time with Bradshaw might not be over, but Parker did not reveal any further details about what her character’s return might entail, or whether it would be part of AJLT or a new project entirely.

Parker’s comments come months after AJLT announced its conclusion part way through season three, with the actress saying in a farewell IG post that the show, and its SATC predecessor, had “dominated my professional heartbeat for 27 years”.
While no official reason for the cancellation was given beyond King’s claim that season three felt like “a wonderful place to stop”, insiders later theorised that AJLT’s gradually declining ratings could no longer justify its enormous budget.
The axing brought to an end a chaotic three-season run filled with controversial storylines, glaring plot holes and reappearances of Kim Cattrall’s forever-iconic Samantha Jones.
Where Bradshaw goes from here is anyone’s guess (standalone movie? Spinoff series? Heck, a Marvel crossover?), so it’s in her spirit that we all simply couldn’t help but wonder…
