Anchisa Jamsa, a promising young equestrian athlete, triumphed in the President's Cup held at the esteemed Thai Polo and Equestrian Club in Pattaya recently. Representing the Phoenix by KP Riding Club, Anchisa showcased exceptional talent and skill as she guided her horse, Gramona, through a challenging course, effortlessly clearing jumps measuring 130-140cm.

The President's Cup, one of the most prestigious equestrian events in Thailand, witnessed fierce competition among top riders in the nation. Anchisa's flawless performance, achieving a clear round with the fastest time, secured her the coveted first-place position. With an impressive time of 83.87 seconds, Anchisa left her competitors in awe and secured her spot in equestrian history.

The podium was completed by Sailub Lertratanachai, who took second place riding Courville L. Despite incurring a penalty of 4 points, Sailub's skill and determination shone through as she completed the course in 86.53 seconds. Chatchaphat Ratanapichetchai claimed the third-place position with his horse Cassiano. Despite an 8-point penalty, Chatchaphat showcased remarkable speed, completing the course in just 81.17 seconds.

Harald Link, the president of the Thailand Equestrian Federation, expressed his admiration and congratulations to the winning athletes and their equine partners. He also extended his gratitude to the sponsors, including the Sport Authority of Thailand, Maxwin and B.Grimm, for their instrumental support in fostering the success of all participants in this exhilarating competition.

Following the challenging circumstances posed by the Covid-19 pandemic and the reinstatement of Thailand as free from African Horse Sickness (AHS) by the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH) in March, the Thailand Equestrian Federation remains committed to moving forward. Dr Link affirmed their dedication to organising high-quality competitions that nurture the abilities of athletes, technical officials and relevant personnel to meet international standards. The federation is eager to host an international event later this year and looks forward to a promising future.

The President's Cup marks a significant milestone in the journey towards the Thailand Championships 2023. This esteemed event serves as a pivotal point accumulation for equestrian athletes and horses striving for excellence. The Thailand Championships Jumping final is scheduled for September and promises to showcase the pinnacle of equestrian talent in the nation.
